Georgian Bay Master Gardeners
Master Gardeners (MGs) in the Province of Ontario are experienced gardeners who have studied horticulture extensively and continue to upgrade their skills through technical training. With this training and continuing education, Master Gardeners provide expert horticultural advice to the general public.
Georgian Bay Master Gardeners focus primarily on the District of Parry Sound and consider Tower Hill their home base, offering advice clinics and workshops in the Garden.

Tower Hill Garden Explorers
A drop-in program for children ages 6+, Tower Hill Garden Explorers will discover Nature in the Garden through fun, hands-on activities based on a monthly theme from late Spring through early Autumn. Sessions will include guided garden walks & games, nature exploration & learning and light seasonal garden tasks such as planting.
Thursdays 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Drop off/sign in at six pm at the Flagpole/Habitat Garden across from the Museum entrance. We will take some time to introduce ourselves and our theme for the evening. At the end of each evening, we will climb the Tower to see where the sun is setting over the Big Sound.
Pollinator Garden Certification Program
Georgian Bay has a unique ecosystem with natural areas of native plants. However, as we humans expand our communities, this natural habitat for pollinators is diminishing, along with the population of many pollinator species. Without pollination, many human food sources are in jeopardy. Our pollinators need a helping hand. Georgian Bay Master Gardeners would like to encourage residents of our beautiful area to provide our pollinators with the habitat they need. We would like to acknowledge gardeners who help the pollinators by providing a pollinator habitat in their own gardens. Gardeners in the District of Parry Sound can apply for certification as a pollinator garden and upon certification, will be able to post a sign designating their garden pollinator friendly.
